1:1 In-Person Training
One-on-one corrective sessions in person. We begin with a comprehensive assessment of your breath, posture, and movement, and build a program from what your body is telling us.
The seasons of a woman’s body deserve patient, educated coaching. In person across Mid-Missouri, online anywhere.
Pregnancy and postpartum ask a lot of a body. My work begins with the breath, the quiet foundation under every lift, every lunge, every load you carry. From there we rebuild the deep core, the pelvic floor, and the kinetic chain that holds you up, so the strength you find here serves you for decades.
Re-learn the diaphragm-led breath your nervous system, core, and pelvic floor were built around.
A patient, education-first approach to healing the linea alba and supporting the pelvic organs.
Strength that travels, from your feet through your hips, deep core, and breath.
One-on-one corrective sessions in person. We begin with a comprehensive assessment of your breath, posture, and movement, and build a program from what your body is telling us.
Personalized, written programming delivered to your phone: pregnancy, postpartum recovery, diastasis, prolapse, and pelvic floor work. Video form checks, monthly progressions, and unhurried email support.
Live one-on-one video sessions for clients who want the hands-on feel of coaching from afar. Same comprehensive assessment, same patient teaching, on your schedule.
“I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable during Jonna’s PT health class and left feeling empowered with new exercises and information to strengthen and maintain long term.”
Jonna reads each note herself and replies within one to two business days. She will ask a few questions about what you are hoping for, where you are located, and which kind of support fits your life. From there, you can decide together on a practical next step.
Most people can begin gentle, breath-led work very early, often in the first trimester for prenatal clients, and as soon as you feel ready postpartum (many begin between 2-6 weeks, with clearance from their provider for any return to load). We meet you wherever you are.
It is re-teaching your diaphragm to do its job (expand fully on the inhale, recoil on the exhale) so the rest of your deep core and pelvic floor can do theirs. Most of us have lost this pattern through years of bracing, stress, or simply how we were taught to stand. Restoring it is the foundation of everything else.
A patient, education-first approach. We assess where you are, talk about what is and is not happening in your body, and build a program of breath, alignment, and graded strength work that supports healing. No fear-mongering. No forever-list of forbidden exercises.
A long conversation and a comprehensive assessment of breath, posture, gait, and core function. Most clients leave with two or three small things to practice and a clear sense of where we are heading. You will feel listened to.
Not at all. The deep-core and pelvic-floor work I teach serves anyone, particularly women in their middle and later decades who are noticing pelvic floor changes, back tension, or want to keep lifting strong for life.
No. About half of my clients are remote. Custom written programming and live video coaching reach anywhere there is reliable internet. The work translates beautifully online.
Postpartum rebuilds tend to be a season, three to six months of consistent work. Many clients stay on for years after, training for life through perimenopause and beyond. The goal is to graduate you into a body you trust.
Support is shaped around the person, the service, and the level of ongoing coaching that makes sense. After the first conversation, Jonna can explain the options and what each includes before you commit to anything.
No. How to Breathe Well provides corrective exercise coaching and education, not medical diagnosis, treatment, or physical therapy. Jonna works best alongside your care team and will encourage you to speak with an appropriate licensed clinician when a concern is outside coaching scope.
No funnels, no sequences. I read every inquiry and reply personally within a business day or two, usually with a question or two of my own.
